The sculpting on the nurgle bits is really solid. They stand apart from the tank pretty strikingly. I think this would benefit from A) more weathering on the rhino itself to make it look rusting and weathered and B) a better blending between rhino and chaos taint.

^ Agreed.
The conversion is dead solid, we are pleased by it.
The colours on the other hand look a bit bland for what its worth.

Nurgle conversions have alot in common with ork conversions. Too much really isn't an issue ever. These look great. The flesh tone is a little bit clashy with the rhino paint job though. Did you consider Rotting Flesh? I use it as the fleshtone on all of my Plague Marines and oblits, and it goes well with the green armour.

Thanks for the comments guys, I need to pick up some more paints so i will make rotting flesh one of them!

I tried a blood red wash onto bugmans glow for the flesh and the red came through too much i think.

Any good tips on weathering and rust effects?

With regards to weathering with out getting into more advanced painting techniques, dry brushing with different dark browns and blacks can work just as well and still look effective and it's easy!

For first time they're looking good though! Like has been said above use rotting flesh and try some watered down agrax earth shade on it to fill in the reseses of the flesh. Have fun!

I agree with everything said here (except I think there's too much modeling going on, but that's just me)... The modeling is good, but the paint needs work to blend the two ideas together.

I know it's cheesy, but think about whatever process happened for your rhino to become that way. Would there be left over green paint where the flesh happened? How about at the edges, before the flesh has fully pushed through the paint?

Also, the nurglings on top... are they part of the rhino, now, or are they little demons just hanging out?
