I've together a test combi bolter for what will be my sternguard, I'm quite happy over all but wonder what peoples opinions are, my main concern is where the melta should be on top or below? I initially went below as thats what I beleave a duel to be 'underslung'.
I will be adding some terminator drum type magazines when they arrive in the post.

Looks great as is. Just needs a little cleanup underneath the barrel there. I'm a fan of the positioning though.

my only suggestion would be to fill in the under handle, the part that the marine holds the gun up with(insted of the grip) at first glance it looked like you had just attached the melta under a reg bolter. it looks well thou and i like it
 soild work
for the next one you make if you wanted a more "stremline" look so that it matchs the current GW ones you could cut off the bolter barrel flush with the hull of the gun and put the melta barrle ontop, then ur gun would look like a better version of the combi melta's they sell seprate from the stern guard kit.

i know weird combo just run with it

Do you mean the part held by the left hand? not sure what you mean unless you mean the ribbed part?
The muzzle was cut off because I had to raise it to fit the melta underneth, I was very torn with which way round to put the muzzle and melta, to copy the actrual sternguard combi or go with how a modern (in todays money) weapon would be.
I do forget to say that is a wip tester for 5 I am going to do for my sternguard (death company and sanguinary guard models).

I think my first couple of combimeltas were melta on top. But It really feels like the secondary weapon of any combi should be under-slung. Its a one-shot weapon, why would it occupy a majority of the gun design, its more of a backup/utility really.
I think your CM looks really good, I've been struggling with a good fuel-tank for mine.

I stole the silencer off of a bolt pistol, cut it in half hot-dog bun style, and slapped it on the side of the bolt gun.
If that helps at all

The fuel tank is the one off the infernos pistol, sliced off flush with the body off the weapon. When it's finished at the weekend I will put together a tuturiol if people want it.
