So, I'm going to my first tournament in just under 2 weeks, and have had a few practice games with my army, now its time to start painting!

I know its a bit of a stretch, but I want to take a fully painted and based army to this thing. The 2 points I have going for me are that its a low head-count army, and I have completed a 1500 point skaven army in about the same time period (less time, im pretty sure), wich was about triple the number of models. So im going to start a plog to sort of keep me commited, and so you guys can share in my incredible success, or my horrible, yet almost inevidable fail.....

My list is of models is as follows -

Nurgle Daemon Prince
Tzeentch Hero on Daemonic Steed
16 Warriors of Nurgle
3 units of 5 hounds
2 Nurgle Chariots
1 Nurgle Gorebeast Chariot
1 Chimera
4 Dragon Ogres
1 Dragon Ogre Shaggoth

Pics will be up soon, wish me luck guys!!

Also, I put this forth to the good people of Dakka...

Im using the new Plastic character as my bsb. Here is the model in question - http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2980524a_99070201004_WoCPlasticChaosLord01_873x627.jpg

What im stuck on is what to use as the actual banner. Any tips would be much appreciated

You know i was thinking of starting a WoC army just use that same guy as a BSB. It's such an awesome model.

What level of detail are you putting into each model? Are you just gonna churn em out as quick and clean as possible or will you spend a bit of time on each.
Considering that a large portion of the army is made up of larger creatures that is.

Also what tourney are you attending?

Well, the way i paint, im going to have to churn out the small guys as quick as i can. I do want the monsters and chariots to look pretty decent, and the characters even better still. So once i get those done, i will come back to the warriors and the hounds to add more detail depending on time.

As for the second question, im head to sydney cbd for Inferno!, its a 2 day-er, and there are going to be 4 i believe throughout the year, with a masters invitational at the end, wich i think is an amazing idea!!

Hmm sounds like fun.

And honestly, if you can get 6 dudes out in 2 hours with that level of painting then you should be fine for time. They look really great by the way. Love the green edging on the shields and armour.

sorry for the lack of progress guys, but ive been working on a conundrum. After having a few practice games with my army, I have come to the conclusion that the GW cases suck, big time. I cant fit m army in them well enough NOT to break. So i have been working on making my own. And considering everything is magnetized to movement trays, i though, why couldnt i make a case where i have to only pull out units, cutting my setup time in half? So this monstrosity will be mostly finished tonight, and pics will be up then also

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ok, so i hate having neighbours, means i have to stop work on the case until tomorrow, but thats fine as i need to make another trip to the hardware store anyways. I guess time for some painting, but heres the progress on the case so far

http://s1297.beta.photobucket.com/user/baruthulous87/media/A6811607-9982-4664-AF25-ABA2B5F104C5-1412-00000177DDF0A7B9_zps60215401.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1

This is the maing part of the case, it will have 2 shelves, so they and the bottome will have metal and some contraptions to stop the magnetized movement trays from rolling around

http://s1297.beta.photobucket.com/user/baruthulous87/media/7423F227-DCEB-44DA-B63E-5F637E7F1818-1412-00000177E89722CA_zpse708b55a.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

And this will be the front. The "frame" is there as i am going to cover it in metal, so between games i can place my army on top and they wont slide off the edges. This is a rush job, so there are some mistakes, but so far, its only cost me about $28, so hopefully, when all is said and done, the next one i make will be even cheaper as i know what ill be doing, and in theory, i think this will be miles better for me than the gw case
