Hi everyone at DakkaDakka,
Would like to start a new thread to show my Black Templars off to other wargamers and modellers/painters for coments and criticisms.
Please be nice as this is the first time I have shown people outside of my gaming group my painting and modelling.
The Black Templars are my first army, and I am currently painting up some Imperial Guard as an allied Planetary Defence Force.

Thanks for the tips on the lighting. I don't really know what I am doing, so I shall have to look at some tutorials to try and improve that.
Anyway you said post some more so I shall. This is one of Helbrecht's Sword Bretheren who form part of his bodyguard.
Hope you like them

Looking good! Better camera would help a lot but I myself am equally as guilty of shoddy equipment. Feel free to check my gallery for my BT goodies.

Have no fear, for i am here.
Read my signature, that should help with the lighting. When i did mine i turned off all the lights and put my lamp facing the models for that extra 'umpf'. Try that
Oh and solid looking champ, neat job.

Looking good....Let's see some more!

About the lighting, try taking the photo in natural light, but with no sun to distort the colours and cast shadows. Also, put the camera down and use the timed shot to snap the pictures. Try to use the macro setting on the camera to better capture the details. Once you get a shot you like, you can load it onto your computer and use some photo software (MS paint is fine for beginners) to zoom in for you and crop as necessary.

Hi guys, after ages away I guess its time for an update!!

These aren't Templars but they are some more recent painting than Helbrecht and the Sword Bretheren

The lighting and general camera work is still pretty dire but they're better than nothing I suppose
