Oooh pretty. I'm tempted to pick up some Malifaux just for the painting challenge. Love the skin tones on the Victorias!

Uh huh. That's what happens when you grow up painting in the late 80's/early 90's. Bronzed flesh ftw.
All seriousness, the Malifaux models really lend themselves to experimentation. Each model is an individual and the sculpts are crazilly out of scale with each other.
It allows you to play about with colours, skintones, basing without making the models too dissparate from from one another.
Give it a try.
