So hi there,..

these here are my ''converted'' crypteks (made from Lychguard and Deathmarks obviously). I am very pleased with how they look but i find it hard to decide on the basing..

We all know Necrons destroy anything that aint Necony, and leave entire systems into dustclouds... So yeah, i could simply add some grey rocks and some sand on the bases,.. but i think that is way to standard...

Any cool ideas? Also feel free to critisize my paint jobs

I've seen cheap crystals made by carving the clear-green sprue into the shape you want. It would be significantly cheaper to roll your own basing kit that way.

You might want to consider a warmer base to contrast the cooler colors, as a more abstract aside.

Hmm, looking at your models, I'd go for some sort of tundra frozen world bases with snow.

I really dont reccomend buying the GW basing kit, its too overpriced for what theyre giving you. But thats just my 50 cents

I have to agree with that other guy about the snow bases.

I'd like to 3rd the snow bases. Also, you could get creative with snow sticking to the Necrons -- do they produce enough heat to melt snow falling on their shoulders?

Snow might be sweet! I believe i read somewhere that unless their tomb is right above a volcano they are ice cold to the touch

I am stuck between Nuclear waste dead world and Snow... Both terrains are regularly played on...

Have you considered basic sand? It would really set off the blue of your figures.
