So I am scratch building a ork quad gun and ork defense line. So far I got the gun built and am now working on the base of the gun. Looking for suggestions and critisism.

I would say it is lookin good so far. If anything it may need to be a little more orky, as its got nice clean lines. Maybe some ork glifs or a grot sitting ontop of it ?

Nice work. Might have to loot that.

Two small things;
1. It looks kinda organized. A bit more random placement of the rockets would, IMO, make it look a bit more "orky".
2. It absolutely needs a crosshair on top (from the Shootas).....you know, for "akkurazy".

Oh I really like the grot idea! Think I will look into doing that. I have some spare ork glyphs laying around somewhere... Will add some along with plasticard. Thanks for the suggestions!

I have a old version of the aegis defense line (back in the day when they were sold without quad guns)

I am currently making it Orky and was looking for a way to do the ''quad gun''.

You might have inspired me here to something similar!

Happy to have helped. Everything I used was left over bitz from my dakka jet and ork trukk. Was very easy to make.

I JUST bought an Aegis and I dont mind using it for either my BT or Orks, but Ive always wanted to buy the Ork Barricades off of GW, take the Grabbin Klaw from the Battlewagon, and mount four Deffguns from the bikes onto it. Wrap them up with a rubberband and voila!

It kind of looks like a bomb on a tower.. I wouldn't add any glyphs, except maybe one on the side of the "tower" bit. The paintjob would make it orky enough. A grot would be cool as well, as others have said, but instead of the poor guy being stuck on the rokkits he should be manning a launching mechanism for it.

Thanks everyone I stuck to the 4 small missiles to keep the quad gun idea. Might add some more to the tower part.

Using the Bigbomm in the middle though tells me its more along the lines of IG's rocket platform or something, not a quad gun. Technically you could say the quad gun uses mini-rokkits but that big one just makes me think "Oh...gitz on a stikk.... dats a big bomm look'in dis way"

Personally I think it could use some rockets attached to those rockets!

wish that i could find some smaller rockets to add on to the already small rockets, would just look perfect.

If i could add a "dont press that" rule to this i totally would. just to make for a more comical feel.

Use the rokkits from the boyz rokkit launchas/nob kombi-weapons.

Heh, if i could have that be a TL Rokkit launcha with 4 attacks but has a Dont Press Dat rule i would totally take it. On a roll of a 1 on a D6 at the begining of the shooting phase, the Quad Rokkit explodes causing Str6 Ap- hits in a D6 area, destroying the gun, but still fires 2 shots for that turn.

Imagine the power of 4 TL rokkits lol. Yea, the range would suck, but it would sure as hell keep that random big boy off your gun line loll

I'm loving it! I think once you give it a good paint job it will look plenty orky.
