This was a good show back in the day that didn't paint a total black and white picture of the opposing sides in WW2. The old shows can be seen on youtube.

Combat! starring Vic Murrow! This week's special guest...

I use to love this show when I was a kid. We had it on a old, local TV series. They use to have "theme" nights including Sci-fi Thursdays with the "Outer Limits" and other shows, Western Wednesdays with shows like "Have gun, will travel", and Tuesday night war shows such as Combat!, 12 o'Clock High, and Black Sheep Squadron.

Combat! was my favorite. However, once it went color, it lost some of its appeal to me. Odd.

It sucked. It was like a weekly crappy C war movie. Thats just my opinion, but of course its 100% accurate.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."

Yup, every playground when I was a kid had at least 5 "Sgt. Saunders, Kirbies, and Little Johns" running around, as well as all the lunch boxes.

Ah, I used to watch Combat! as a kid. It was on a public access channel here in LA and I used to geek out with it while playing with my GI JOEs.

Also loved Rat Patrol at that age. Thanks for the jaunt down memory lane!
