Not only is that a good quality paintjob - and better than what I can do - but for a 12-year old's first ever model, that's just incredible.

"It is the great irony of the Legiones Astartes: engineered to kill to achieve a victory of peace that they can then be no part of."
- Roboute Guilliman

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Here I am a full grown man being put to shame by the first attempt of a 12 year old.

She should totally stick at it.

I love to see folks getting their kids involved in the hobby.I have four kids and three of them help me paint either by base coating or pva gluing bases etc. They all have their own mini's too. My oldest (14)paints as good as i do now and we love sitting together painting.

Definitely better than my first model.
Hell, it's probably better than most of the models I've painted... (except for my later ones... I think I'm probably on par with her with my latest ones )

Is that Chapter marking freehand? If so, that's the sort of thing I would never have dreamed of being able to do with a first model!

She's definitely got talent, the base and freehand is very neat. Just needs a wash as others pointed out.
