I recently decided I wanted to play around with Harker in a few games, but I did not have the model and I'm not running catachans. The GW model of Harker is pretty neat, but I personally dislike the roid rage look and decided to make a toned down version for use with my standard guard.

What follows is my first ever attempt at converting and was done today.

It is made from the following bitz:

Catachan head from the Sentinel kit
Veteran torso from CCW kit
Crouching legs from HWT kit
Veteran flamer arm from CCW kit
Veteran special weapon left arm from CCW kit
Heavy bolter from HWT kit.
Ammo box from HWT kit

Essentially I cut the heavy bolter apart to shorten it's length by about one third. This completely removed the tripod mount and imperial eagle emblem. Then I trimmed the area where the twin handle normally fits to mate with the flamer handle. A bit of shaving here and there to make a decent fit and viola!

I do not have any green stuff and I am sure a more competent person could make this look really stellar with a bit of green stuff and patience, but as it stand now I am happy with it.

Edit: he will eventually be painted with walmart brand acrylics to match the red guardsmen you see below. I'm not a skilled painter yet, but for the price of these paints I am very happy with the results. So those of you on a budget might want to give them a try. The brand is apple barrel.

I think he looks like a pretty nice conversion but at the same time I think he needs some kind of support for the gun at the front. Looks quite unrealistic with him being able to hold up that gun consideing where his hands are placed

You may want to drill the barrel as well.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

I like the actual model too much to convert, but still very nice job
