So I've painted five different schemes on the Plaguebearers over the past few months and now my army is going to contain a tonne so I'll have to start painting them as units rather than individually. But first if like to know which scheme people's favourite s and also which part of which are better or worse?
Thanks

Personally i like the third and last scheme, red insides are pretty good looking... on plaguebearers...

anyway, i do like the red gore, it makes them seem more grotesque but the purple seem to convey an otherworldly feeling.
I would say definitely red. More gross, More better right?

IMO the second one is the best.

Thanks for the feedback so far, I think I agree with gianluca, but I see where you're coming from wolfmerc since I too agree the wounds are some of the most dynamic features on my Plaguebearers IMO.

Also I've now changed this thread to also be a poll.

Scheme two. Decent contrast (in terms of both color and brightness), but generally more subdued tones and smooth gradients on the flesh. Personally, though, I might go for heavily rusted steel on the weapons instead of the glowing green. Feels more Nurgle-y to me and is pretty flexible - depending on the colors/pigments used, you can keep the weapons as a bold, vivid detail or tone them down more in line with the main body, letting the deep, glossy red gore be the focus (the latter being my personal leaning).

I like the first one, its contrasts strike a nice balance, while all the other ones seem a bit too colourful and approaching garish in some places. I find nurgle models feel best when they don't draw attention to themselves by virtue of the bright greens people use to represent poisons but rather have good shadowy contrasts.

I can understand why someone would like say pattern 3, but personally I don't like high contrast or colourful nurgle models.
