My take on the iron warriors colour scheme. Mainly forgeworld and gw conversion kit used
Please leave feedback . It helps me know what I'm doing wrong. Lol

They look great, Love the look of the guy with the big chainsword.

Quite nice, though I do think a few highlights would really make them pop. They look a tad flat. But that could be the poor lighting in the pictures.

Ok, one thing I'm noticing... there aren't any Chevrons. None at all. Now, I'm not a fan of IW with massive black and yellow all over their armor, but I make sure I put one on every IW I have, mostly on weapons.

Just my personal preference there. It's the one thing I don't like about the iron warriors. Yeah it's in the fluff but I think they just look silly on infantry.
Hell. if people can field daemons with their iron warriors then surely I can leave out the chevrons. Lol

Sure, it's up to personal preference if you want to have chevrons on them or not, but most people that know of the Iron Warriors will expect them in some shape or form, so when you have a nice big space painted yellow, it looks unfinished imo.

Other than that, your warriors have nice iron look to them, but they're lacking in contrast or something to break up the grey/golden scheme. Something as simple as painting the shoulder pads black with golden trim can give some nice variation. Picking out some black parts on the gun also helps.

Lastly, do you paint the gold and yellow straight on the iron? Using some foundation will help you get a smoother finish and make the colours brighter. I like to use a bronze colour before painting on the gold.

Anyway, great start and nice tabletop standard, keep it up!

Definitely agree on some over the top Chevrons. When entire pieces are black and yellow its odd, but I think it makes sense if on a weapon. For example, I add it to the tops of my Boltguns and the tubes of my missile Launchers, plus sometimes on the side of Chainswords.

However, if its a matter of personal preference, that's up to you. I can say that the paintjob itself is high quality, and looks quite good.

I think they're looking pretty good. And agree that they could use some highlights. I also agree that chevrons on every model are kind of silly. I don't put them on a lot of my models, unless there is a big flat surface like a shield or it is a character. The gold you accomplished looks pretty awesome!
