Hello fellow forum go'ers, I've just got a box of Grey knight terminators and abox of Chaos space marine terminators on the way so I can start my Sons of Malice army. I wanted some advice on where to go with the whole kitbashing idea.

P.S, this was my first time using green stuff, any ideas for improvement would be appreciated.

Okay, please don't take offense to this, but I'm just curious what the effect is that you're trying to achieve on the shoulders? It looks like a pustulant growth right now. I would recommend photographing on a white background, as well.

I know, my green stuff skills are absolutely terrible, I'm trying to create a fur shoulder but alas.
I would like to make them like proper capes as well but that didn't work.

I can see why you're having trouble being creative with them, as you have very little to actually go on with the fluff they have, at least with regards to modelling.

Malice is a Chaos god, but one who is essentially opposed to the big four, so I honestly don't know if you should just copy whatever those gods troops look like... They're into cannibalism though, so having body parts hanging out of them/ modelling slaves around them/ painting their mouths bloody all works.

I think having "111" painted on every model, black and white helmets/skulls, and perhaps a Daemon Prince surrounded by bodies would work too, like how Malice itself is summoned.

It says here that Malice can actually be summoned into the real world by the way, so you could represent him too if you wanted to:

Although it'd have to be a pretty impressive model to represent a Chaos God, albeit a minor one. Maybe the same scale/rules as the forge world Bloodthirster?

I'm surprised that Games Workshop actually allowed a story to be written about this god too, I thought there were legal issues stopping them...

On a final note, trophies from the cult troops (helmets, etc. Anything that represents them) should be used too, as you've done with the Bloodletter head already.

EDIT: And add a LOT more chaos stuff to the models! I though you were going for a mutated look with the green stuff a la Nurgle, but if you're not then they look way too clean to be Chaos Marines. Try using the chaos parts and filing off and eight-pointed stars. It wouldn't make any sense for them to worship Chaos Undivided at all.

Thanks, I'm going to restart the green stuff, get some necron heads, imperial guard heads that I have lying around and bloody them up.

On the contrary, I don't think the capes look too bad. Here's a solid tutorial on how to do fur with Green Stuff:

Thanks Darth Bob, I'll do it in the morning and post some pictures on a white background.
Appreciate the help.
