Hello there, great looking first model theheartcollectors. I love the effect you have done on the end of the burst cannon, looks great! the only pointer would be if you got some edge highlighting in a lighter shade of blue, grey or possibly purple on the model, it would really make the models 'pop'. But overall well done and i'm looking forward to more pictures and models.

I really like that first model. I know it is horrendously difficult to pose those crisis suits. And the only issue I see with that burst cannon is that it seems shiny.

Yeah I'm planning on doing some highlighting on him. I've drybrushed all the black on the model with a silvery color, that might be why its a bit shiny.

just a small update. been very busy lately so not had alot of time for my 40k but i did make my riptide. i just went with the standard pose for my first one as the reposing looked to be quite difficult. I also still need to add the shield and gadgets on it. i will get another one and pose it awesomely in the future.

thanks guys. i've heard they are quite awesome in game. i wasnt sure weather to have the smart missle system or two plasmas though. any thoughts?

I went for Plasmas on mine, i thought the low AP was needed. Worked well so far!

You could always make 2 lots of crisis suits. One group have the plasmas and the other the missiles. Never hurts to have too many models

I'm planning on having two 3man battlesuit squads but I wanted one squad to be anti tank and one anti infantry.

Well anti ininfantry would be flamers whereas plasma would be elite infantry and some some of the stronger things like some monsters and light vehicles.
Missiles are good for removing infantry due to the templates but I don't know the strenght of the Tau missiles or if they can fire a single shot like the Krak Missiles. If they can do both makes them a decent all0rounder but the their problem would be scatter-dice.
Porbably sounds like I'm not helping I am trying to tho

Thanks for the tips. I want a squad of crisis suits with burst cannons too just cause they look awesome. I may have to buy some more battlesuits. I may also get a forgeworld commander battlesuit. This is looking like its gonna be very expensive.

Looking good so far, great scenic base Suggestion, i know you've already had the highlighting thing brought up, make the red a little brighter and then when highlighted it will all go well together. Looking forward to seeing more

Its the first time I've ever tried highlighting. Ill probably finish that suit and hopefully the riptide too this weekend.

Hey guys thanks for the kind words. I have yet to finish my riptide as I promised because I had my entire forearm tattooed Saturday and its very awkward and painful. But I did paint a couple of flesh tearer space marines :-)

Yeah its pretty much a sleeve already but I'm having a lot of it reworked. I've had 2 8hour sessions so far. Its all dotwork so it takes a while.

I've not had much progress with my tau but I couldnt stop myself buying the new wraithguards. What do you think of my test paint scheme.

I don't blame you with the wraithguard they are pretty sexy, especialy the melee varients. Like the colour scheme, a metalic varient of Ulthwe. Good job
