These are my first sketches of my Enlightened board for Matthias (From the WWX Forum and the band: Parched) and his band.

I also plan to do a media cradle above the centre stand which can be moveable to enable loading of equipment and recording the performances on (I know TV had not been invented then, but it is my alt universe and RJ1027's have to be useful for more than just shooting I guess).

Under the centre stand (marked as 2) I was planning on making a refreshments stall, but still a bit undecided on this atm.

The monitor racks will be HUGE as I don't have to worry about refractions of RF on a game board!! = happy times. I guess in keeping with the theme of WWX they will have to be Marshalls or I might be able to get away with Mesa Boogie. hehe

Anyway, there are my thoughts. I am still open to ideas, so any thoughts to occupy this 2x2ft terrain piece will be very welcome! Especially in this early stage where I have yet to cut any wood.

In my 3rd and 4th pictures I just wanted to see how it fits on my 2x2 board. I have marked out all the floor based areas, as I was planning to change my initial idea of the centre catwalk and make it into 2x catwalks either side of the mosh pit in the middle. This would allow a better viewing pleasure for the crowd and allow the suspended media gantry a larger range on movement.

The Mosh pit will only have 2x entrances furthest away from the stage, in order to minimise violence seeping out onto the stage. But now I think about it, maybe it would be better to have a broken area near the front to allow for better gameplay and infantry access.

The fence in front of the stage is beginning to make me think (and it hurts too!!). What do you guys think of replacing the fence with a row of sharpened wooden spikes sticking out of the floor. A bit like you would see on entrenched units of long ago? I would really like your feedback on this issue.

I have slightly changed the angle of the second lower tier of the side stands. This is to make it look like the crowd are more angled to the stage and also break up the block-like design that is evident, although there will be lots of cabling, lighting, media gantry and of coarse 2x great big RJ1027 power modules on the side of the stage that will also break it up a bit.

Flooring and the walls of the tiered stands will be made from 7cm wooden planks. So a lot to do for this one, but as they are simplez to do, I can do these anytime I have a free mo.

Cheers

Mick

Please excuse the use of orange text. I am dyslexic and find it an easier contrast against the black background of this site. Many thanks for your understanding.
