UPDATE 18 Dec 02013:
This is where I'll be posting pics of all of my IG army work, the 'fluff' for which is in development. Short version: An Inquisitor is on a personal mission and has requisitioned several units of IG and GK in order to pursue her quest.
Composed of OOP Tallarn and Steel Legion models, these armies have been a lot of fun to collect and paint over the years. The Steel Legion are finally done and now I am adding in little bits here and there.
Inqusitor Svetlana Boginskaya: (I know, I need to take a pic with a cool background)
OP resumes here:
I got my hands on some Kasrkin models that I have decided to do some converting and create a new
CCS for my
IG armies.
Here is the entire set of models that I can choose from:
I have decided to paint them up to match the Master of Ordnance (far right) that I did last year, with khaki trousers and green armor/jackets. On the left-front, pointing, and in the center (with upraised arm) are some artillery observers to accompany my Basilisks (no real game function, but I like to have them out there).
Next to the left-hand
OA is the Company Standard Bearer, and behind him are two figs that will likely wind up being used for Bodyguards. The one on the left is an old Psyker model, the one on the right is kit-bashed from some
IG parts and WFB Empire Militia arms. The model in the center with sword and laspistol will be the Company Commander, Captain Craine.
In the back row are the various guardsmen veterans that can make up the squad, a grenade launcher, Vox-operator, vanilla guardsmen and 3 flamers (2 are converted).
Finally, just in front of the
MoO is a tank commander that is going to get stripped and re-painted to represent Pask.
Here is a close-up of Craine, the artillery observer, and
MoO.
I also have 10 of these Cadian standards that will be issued to the
CCS, 2 Platoon Command Squads ("Red" and "Blue") and 4 infantry squads in the Tallarn Army. I'm in the process of collecting the models I'll need to convert to hold these, but plan to paint all of the standards at once - the
CCS and
PCS standards will have the cords, color-coded for each platoon.
