I just finished up my Master of the Forge. I used the Forgeworld model as a base, I did some of my own custom add ons to fit my style. I hope you all enjoy the model.

Thanks for looking.

Great work! Loving that shade of blue. He's got a very clean cut look that I think really plays well with an Ultramarines model. Excellent job.

Looks pretty cool. Maybe it's just the pictures, but did you do any highlighting? I can't really tell.

Only problem, fluffwise, is that aren't Techpriests (and I assume Masters of the Forge) supposed to be in red armor with one of their shoulders left in their host chapter's colors? I'd assume a chapter as stringent to the Codex Astartes such as the Ultramarines would be mindful of that ;P

Either way, great model.

Thanks for compliments. I thought the same thing that Techmarines wore red armor but the pictures I've seen of Ultramarine Techmarines was they had blue armor and red helmets. I looked on GW's website at their techmarine set and it shows him with blue armor and red helmets, so I just stuck with the blue armor.

I don't think they are very consistent on the canon for that one, color scheme wise. Which I guess is par for the course.

it's a very nice paintjob; one that I think you can easily and safely augment by using some washes to give some contrast, especially on the axe and axe handle, and the mechadendrites.

Looking good! I'd like to see some better basing, though.

Here is an updated photo with the base finished. I'm still new to basing so I go with the brown base with green grass ontop.

Looks great! I think a wash would really help the model's depth. Perhaps blue on the blue, nuln oil on the silver, and agrax earthshade on the gold/brown.

This is a very good suggestion. I think a wash would really make the model's detail pop.
