Hi Dakka,

I don't post very often, but I thought I'd support the Infinity community here and offer up some of my very own homemade terrain. The building is MDF cut from a tablesaw and bandsaw. The interior floor is tiled plastic from the dollhouse section of Hobby Lobby. My intention was to make some terrain that was generic enough to fit comfortably on both an Infinity table and a 40k table.

The Silo dealybobbers are mostly cardboard and MDF along with some parts from an old 1:35 tank Kit.

This is my first set of pics ever on dakka. Hopefully they aren't terrible. Apologies if they are...

Thanks Necro,

I have four of the large builidings in various stages of completeness. The exteriors are identical structurally. The plan is to make the last two interiors a slightly different layout, though it may be difficult to lay out another floorplan with no LOS through the buildings. I suppose it means I'll just have to make up some removable doors. Right now I don't have any plans to make more of the small silos but I am halfway through some of the Bostria cubes that pop up all over the official Infinity forum. They're also cut from mdf. Not too hard to cut and put together, but the stairs were quite a pain. If I make more staircases, I may have to rethink my strategy and material. I'll post them if I get a chance.

Really nice work! Clearly you've done a great job with the execution and I must say I'm rather fond of the aesthetic style you've chosen too. They're going to look and play great for Infinity, 40k and a bunch of other games.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Looks excellent, and as others have said will fit both systems well (which actually, considering the different aspects of Infinity and 40k, is not as easy as it sounds!)

Now the only question remains - who will win between the ork and the ghulam?

Thanks for the kind words folks. I'm thinking of starting a blog and posting further developments in terrain and models there. It'll happen in super slow motion though. If I do I'll be sure to add it to the community list.
The cubes I'm working on now will probably be much less ambiguous about their intended system. I think they'll look pretty out of place on a 40k table, but that's okay. I also picked up a box of the Dust Tactics Quonset Huts yesterday. I think I'll base them, but I can't decide whether I will double them up and make three long huts or leave them as individuals (they're awfully short).

In my head, I know it's the ghulam.

In my heart, it's the orks all the way.

Nice. Take a while to map it all out?
