Looking pretty good! Is that a greyish, five-o'-clock-shadow tone I detect on that first guy's jaw?
These will look really nice once they're based, too.

I like the dirty and grimy appearance on the medics arms and things, very grizzled and very awesome. Any chance of some close ups or maybe a tutorial on how you painted their haphazard appearance?

That would be a five o'clock shadow on the commissar you see. It's slow drybrushing of rune fang grey after a brief wash on the skin of Agrax and another wash on top of it. The medic and wounded trooper I particularly enjoyed doing. Before the wash, I stippled Khorne Red for blood spatters around the areas I thought he'd get covered doing field surgery, a light drybrushing of black around the exposed areas for dirty skin and a tad of brown drybrushed on the forehead as if dirt smeared when wiping sweat. An Agrax wash on top of that and bam. Automatically Appended Next Post: My second platoon of guard is intended to be an inquisitorial attachment so I'd like them to look like they've been through hell and survived, barely.
