I've been fiddling around with this DP for a buddy of mine for way longer than I'd like to admit. A while back he said he wanted a DP with wings and tentacles, so here we are. Anyway, I just added the second pair of horns, the ones that come out horizontally, and I'm not sure if I'm totally sold. Too big? Positioned the wrong way? Should they be tilted up or down or ripped off because what was I thinking? Help me out dakka, I've been staring at this thing for way too long. He doesn't have eyes because I intend to wrap barbed wire (or chain, depending on which I like better) around his head and torso. Since the GW DP arms are all terrible and impossible to position in anything resembling a natural pose I'm considering building some using the Fleshborer Hives off a Tyrannofex. Finding them has become a snipe hunt for some reason, but hopefully a pair will show up. Anyhow, opinions on the horns/ anything else? He's a DP of whatever my buddy feels like playing that day so I'm not pushing towards any god in particular.

I think the horns look great, and I like the idea of barbed wire around him, and I like his evident blindness, but I'm not sold on those tentacles. Too big/thick compared to the rest of his body imo.

I concur Hoernakex; in nature tentacles are usually much smaller than the main body they come out of, so anything else looks unnatural.

Sorry man, I also agree with those above - the tentacles are just too big.

I love the head though - the two sets of horns and the blind face are just great and have the right amount of creepy for a DP

I for on do not think that the tentacles are too big, to me it seems as if he awesomely moves on tentacles that burst out of the ground and tangle with his body.

I'd just advice to add details to the heap of scary ass tentacles, like arms reaching out for help while being crushed and grinded within the whirlpool of tentacles, you should also add some more body to his waist, it's a bit thin there (tough I also think it's too thin for the regular model as well.)

by the way saying that something looks unnatural with something that came from the warp, is actually a good thing.

Wow thanks for the feedback guys! This is actually the third iteration of tentacles for him. The first couple time I modeled them smaller and it looked odd. More comical than intimidating. Im planning on making his arms pretty bulky, so I think it will balance him out more. I'm thinking of adding some tattered cloth around the waist as well to help with the area where abs merge to tentacles haha. I probably will add some poor sap getting strangled or something to that effect, i just havent figured out where. Since I'm slow as heck with modeling I won't put this in p&m but Ill take some more wip's and post them with the finished product (whenever that is.)
