I thought that black/white quartering would look cool on a unit of wraithguard, so I tried it out on a unit I just got today. After I painted the first one I was feeling kinda if-y about it. It looks a little crude when you look at it up front. at arm's length it does look ok.

I'm wondering If I should paint all of the unit with this paint scheme or use a different (perhaps more colorful) method.

I think that would look good with maybe a splash of another color (red, yellow, or blue comes to mind). Try doing some shading on the white. I like the idea though

Go with the quartered scheme. If you are having trouble getting your lines even, I recommend masking tape or painter's tape.

thanks for the help

I've decided to continue with the quartering and on the opposite sides use another color. (which will vary throughout the unit) here is a wip of the first model

Go for the quartered scheme, its not something you see everyday and can be done well with some masking tape. Just make sure that you don't put the masking tape straight onto the model, put the tape on the table first to remove some of the glue as you can take off the paint on the other side of the model, which can be a pain in the ass to re-do. Hope that helps.
