Hi there,

Recently I picked up some Space Marines off my local classifieds, pre-painted by an upper level painter. I had been mulling around a space marine color scheme like this for years but could never really get the right colours, so when I saw them I had to have them. I made a deal with the guy that I'd buy them as long as he would email me a basic tutorial on how to paint them like he did (ie. specific colors, washes, etc) but he never did. I have texted and emailed him but he doesn't respond.

I'm hoping the good samaritans here on Dakka could help me out in figuring out how these are painted so I can add on to this wonderful army.

it looks like dheneb stone washed with gryphon sepia. khorne red highlighted with an orange like wazdakkared.

Looks like Commando Khaki. Too brown for Dheneb Stone and too uniform to have been shaded by a wash over the larger areas.

Well I suck compared to it, thus why I said upper level, so it's really just really insulting to me. lol.
