I never really liked the Varghulf model for Vampire Counts, so I decided to use the, I think, GamesDay exclusive Skin Wolf. I added wings from the Vargheist kit with green stuff and tried to keep the same-ish color scheme as the original Varghulf (dark blue/grey/black with brown fur). I'm still horrible with green stuff and the color scheme didn't turn out as well as I was envisioning, but seeing it in pictures like this, it actually looks fairly decent. The wings were airbrushed but I couldn't really airbrush much else, so the rest is brushwork. The blood is the now typical Tamiya red and smoke mixed with UHU glue. This was my first attempt at using the UHU blood effect, and I thought it would be thicker than it was... maybe add more glue next time! When fully assembled, the dead Empire guy in the model's left hand doesn't fit well on the base - maybe it was how I assembled the arms, but things were getting obstructed between the main model's legs and the stone outcropping in the front. Either way, I modeled the other rocks for the back foot out of green stuff so the Empire guy would raise high enough. Oh, and the dripping blood/entrails is just string. It worked out ok, but next time I'll use something other than string I think.

Given how great the wings are the skin on the back looks like it could do with some highlights in similar colours, that area looks a bit flat at the moment.

looks great only thing I would say is that the greens a bit much it clashes with the rest of the mini's colours it'd look great in a more neutral tone maybe a dark red or white?

Did I mention that I do commission work

You're referring to the dark parts (the starts of the wings' arms)?

And yeah, the green... so I have a green color scheme for my VC army, and I was struggling to find a way to work green into the model somehow, and that's why I chose it for the Empire guy's shirt. I didn't think it would fit anywhere else on the model better... I'm hoping it looks good when the model is ranked up with the rest of my army.
