These two models have been on here before in recent months, but since my FLGS's Battle Of The Brush is duel. So I made a nurglish battle area and placed the models on (which most entries will have rather than not having them still in bases)
So C&C appreciated

Suggestion, get 2 1" inner diameter o-rings, glue them down and then use spackle or vallejo paste to build up the earth around it. A 25mm base will fit fight inside and the top of the base will be flush with the top of diorama's base.

Will it still be removable from the ring?

I was looking at it in my annoyingly perfectionist - not just letting it be finished way. And thought the scythe went a bit unnoticed before, since the browns and oranges just blended with the base, so added a bit of verdigris (first attempt) and added some orange to the edges. So here's it on the model and close up - too bright? - Not green enough? Or just right?

Yes, it will be removable from the ring. If you look at the Chaos Marine vs. Tau diorama I just posted, you'll see what that looks like.

Looks good. I agree, using a diorama washer will only make it better (I also have an example in my gallery, under the Grey Knights section).

My only other complaint would be the Fireblade's base. i know it is the "stock" base that come with the model, but it doesn't fit with the rest of the diorama.

I agree with both of the points Scootypuff but I haven't really got much time before the competition with GCSEs (external exams) and also an army to paint up for a tournament next month. Winning at this competition doesn't mean enough to me to validate spending time I should be revising in, on a diorama I likely won't use again unfortunately.
