Your metallics look grainy which suggest that your paint was too thick.. Other than that black is smooth and red lacks depth.

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

Yeah it is proper dry and thick but I really liked that particular gold. I'm not trying to win any competitions though so I don't mind it being a bit grainy. How do I add depth to the red?

I am not saying it is a bad or sloppy job, just that you could water down your gold some more. Try highlighting more your red or add some brown wash to the loin cloth.

If you're using GW paints is it byany chance the"dry" range? If so try doing it in a light coat over a bronze, same awesome colour, tonnes thinner.

Yeah man that's the one. Its a really thick and strange consistency but I really loved the colour. Ill try the bronze idea. Any particular gw bronze color? I know what you mean about adding sum depth to the cloth. Ill play around with sum shading and highlighting.

Another trick you might want to try.

Get yourself some ard'coat or gloss varnish that is not in a spray can.

Use a tiny drop of gloss on your soulstones it will greatly enhance the effect.

Love the color pattern it's quite different from what I am used to seeing and different is always fun to see.
