So, initiated a trade for a Gundam for some FoW/Bezerkers.
30/5/2013 He said he received my package and said he would send his out Friday, the next day.
3/6/2013 Ask if he got tracking number, no reply.
8/6/2013 Ask if package was shipped, no reply.

Not sure if I should wake longer, if someone has his email address or what. Any suggestions?

Another quick update. Still no message or package. Does anyone have contact information for him?

If you send money through PayPal , you can always keep emailing him on that email. I know one time I have not heard anything and I shot a quick note to that email and person responded he hasn't been on Dakka too much.

See, it was a trade. No money was exchanged.

I have gotten ahold of him through his YouTube account. Looks like he had some emergency things happen and will be shipping soon.

Update as of 7/5/2013, still no package received. Says he has tracking number, no tracking number has been provided and no further communication has happened. Going to contact my local PD and go from there.

Contacting your PD is definitely the way to go, and telling him you're doing so. You have all his information to give them... a case file with his name on it may persuade him to act, or failing that, the police themselves.

Well, told him I would be filing a police report. He sent out a package within 30 minutes. Package gets here, only half of the items are there. Emailed him again stating that I will be following through with the police report and haven't heard anything else.

So, messaged him multiple times saying that he only gave half of the agreed upon trade. Still no response. In regards to the police report, neither of the PD are willing to take my report. More or less, they are saying it is my fault and that I shouldn't be doing this type of thing. Not sure where to go or what to do. Really upset that I am out a good bit of stuff.

Did you print out all of your conversations and emails? You have to pretty much build your case.. I.E all conversation printed out...Details of items being traded. I would even go as far as printing the ad of the items trade from there website Like GW's listing of necron warriors id print it out. So that way you have 1 your conversation 2 a list of items traded and recived.3 a print out of the items and value. I would call the local PD again and keep pushin it or call his local PD in his area and alert them of a scammer.

This falls under Mail Fraud, and if your Local PD tells you that you're wrong, you just need to go up the chain.

NO INSULT INTENDED...

Are you young? Like, under 21?
If so, bring your parents with you. If not... you have to stand up to them.

You need to speak with a DETECTIVE. Don't talk to whatever "beat cop" answers the phone.

Look in this thread here (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/523737.page) for information on how to approach the situation and what the results can be.
You CAN do it, but you MUST be firm. They may be police, but they're just human. You have to stand up for yourself to them, sometimes.

He said that he had mailed the package and it will be here on Monday. I am skeptical, so we shall see.

Did he provide you with a tracking number? All US mail, except Media Mail, comes with a tracking number now.
I would get in touch with him and *insist* on a tracking number, with a warning that, otherwise, you'll go to the police. You can provide him a link to the Ahriman85 TR (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/523737.page), in case he thinks the police won't get involved.

Package got here. Package highly damaged. Items seemed good, but need some glue. Consider this closed
