So this is an overview of my current Listing. Its designed to be competitive, and while it doesn't contain the Imperial Fists key Special Character Lysander, I have chosen Pedro Kantor as he does nearly the same thing, But thankfully makes my Sternguard Scoring units. The picture is missing a Librarian in Terminator Armour with Force Sword and Storm Shield.

The List comes exactly to 1735.

Some work done here and there not much.

Need to add another 115 points by November but paint all of this as well when my LGC decided to turn their tournaments into painted models only.

So been busy today but managed to finish another Tactical Marine, this time my plasma Specialist, I chose to go with the white helmet for 2 reasons:
1. it denotes he is different at a quick glance
2. he will stand out on the table top at the blink of an eye.

I have included Sargent Bartlett, his squad commander to give a kind of comparrison, and still cannot decide whether to go with the white edging. Any comments on this front would be helpful.

unfortunately after having to pull a double shift today to cover sickness i haven't done any work today. Still I'm ahead of schedule as I was thinking a month per unit due to my work and friends/family commitments.

That being said, I have tried to do my first 3 models in batch mode and want to see how the come out before I decide if I'm going to keep doing it.

Se I have tomorrow off and will see if I can finish this combat squad before I hit the town to piss away my payday on booze

That's not too bad, I think you can make it pretty reasonably. I wish I had the good sense to set my time frame properly.. My stupid project is 2000 points in 2 weeks (and I only have four days left).

^^ screw that lol, i usually only get about 10 hours a week, I've already had 8 this week, the joys of working a 5 star hotel in the kitchen, I wanted to give serg and the specialist special attention so they stand out more the the other 7 marines a bit more easily

so no more work done today yet, had a 5k apocalypse game, and assembled my newly aquired librarian

so i got no painting done yesterday got called into work today and been home about an hour now. im debating 1 of 2 things, as i finished cleaning up my termie librarian last night, do i start working on him or finish at least my first combat squad, with the final yellow layers on 2 of the marines and the details left to do.

think i will finish the combat squad which is maybe 3 hours work and then see how i feel then.

I like the white helmet on the plasma gunner, I always accidentally place mine too close to the front where he gets removed right away.

am the same now with the unit that is only base coated, so i thought i would make him stand out

So my list is already changing, I've ditched the scouts and bikes in favour of 2 more drop pods 5 more stern guard, and 1 bike.

I'm now wishing that the first drop pod i made, I had kept in individual pieces as the centre is a pain in the butt to paint.

I have purchased another 2, and partially assembled them, bases with the doors on, and the top engine assembly, keeping the engine rim details and pylons seperate.

This is the best way to deal with the drop pods otherwise they are a pain in the butt.
