So, since I've just recently started running Grey Knights as allies to my Salamanders, I thought I would discuss Inquisitors. How do you like to run yours? Do you have a signature Inquisitor you like?

Here's mine:

Inquisitor Psychoticus - 93 pts
Power armor, Daemonblade x2, Psyker (Mastery Rating 1)

I prefer to run Psychoticus in a Land Raider crusader with either a squad of Paladins or a unit of Grey Knights Terminators.

Inquisitor Malevolynne - 133 pts
Power Armor, Needle Pistol x2, Psyker (Mastery Rating 1), Rad Grenades, Psychotroke Grenades, Ulumeathi Plasma Siphon

If I have the points to be running Malevolynne, then she's usually playing second banana to Psychoticus. Both Inquisitors go Divination for their first power. If Psychoticus gets his Mastery Rating raised by his swords, he occasionally dabbles around with Pyromancy.

Interesting. What do you run him with? And what's your poison when it comes to psychic discipline?

I have this guy every battle. He's in a team of psycannon purgators, and always defaults to the prmaris of divination.
Can also be run in a purifier group with 4 psycannons to flesh it out with some more wounds.

Either way, the total of 5 psycannons, shooting 4 shots each and rerolling, all with rending, is devastating to anything, even when fired as snap shots they turn things to dust.

his hammer also allows him a chance to protect his unit if they get charged, no matter what charges them.

A rather fun one to run is a dual needle pistol Xenos, especially since the Xenos can bring some neat tools, depending on what you're facing. Against Tau I bring a syphon, against anything else I like to take one or both of the Rad and Psychotroke grenades. Depends what kind of unit he is attached to, mostly. But you have that already

Your first inquisitor can't have two daemonblades and a force weapon, it says that you replace one of your weapons with a force weapon. I just run one with 2 daemonblades and power armour. Then I put him in a squad on 10 daemonhosts because I miss my Daemonhunters codex, where radicals were radicals before they went too mainstream

Isn't that exactly what his is?

Yeah, Jimsolo never mentioned a force weapon...

Man, you be tripping!

The FAQ says that you are not compelled to replace a weapon when you become a psyker. IN ADDITION, even if you choose to, you can STILL keep your demonblades if you choose to switch the frag or krak grenades for the force sword. Good call, though.

Yeah, I don't know. I would probably stick to the safe side of the street (the one without making the game 30 minutes longer due to a rules dispute) and count grenades as wargear. I see your point though.

Yeah, I'm not going to make a huge deal out of it. If my opponent pitches a fit, then I'll just discard the force weapon in my game with them, since it wasn't a compulsory trade anyhow.

Ordo Malleus, Terminator armor, Nemesis force hammer, Psycannon, Psyker level 1.

He goes with my Mordrak, is a prescience-giver, who also carries the psycannon the ghost knight's can't

I've used the Psycannon Inquisitor and the Xenos Inquisitor with ALL THE GRENADES. My Xenos is Psyker Lvl 1, Needle Pistol, Plasma Syphon, Rad/Psykotroke, I keep Carapace armor just because of the model that I have, and for points. I've actually gotten a lot of work out of the Xenos Inquisitor -- the grenade buffs + prescience are quite good, and you don't expect much out of them in CC otherwise, so you're happy when they do perform.

With him tricked out like that I would hide him in a blob, refuse to come out and expect quite a lot from him, actually

I usually put in a couple of standards to roll with Coteaz in my henchman army. Often one of each.

Pyromaniac
-malleus with incinerator, deamon blade, brain mine, and psyker lvl 1 taking pyrmancy powers.

I dont expect a lot of results out of this guy but he is usually a hoot. Once got fiery form (my reason for pyromancy) with Warpflame and Deathlust off the blade.
My "puny humi" tore into a nob squad swinging at S 9.

Spotter
-hereticus with inferno pistol, 3X servo skulls, psyocculum, psyker, force maul, divination

Goes in fire support team with jokero/plas cannon servitors/plas warriors. If i don't get perfect timing I'll default to prescience.
Often play aginst eldar, GK, and nids so usually get some use out of the psyocculum, where it can be gold.

Buffer
-xenos with grenades, needle pistol, psyker, force maul. hammerhand

goes with DCA/crusader squad to turn in into a mini deathstar. The norm from what I see on here.
