hey guys,

so ive picked out a color scheme for my army, well my minitures in this case and im wondering if anyone could help me kinda get a colour scheme for my vehicles. my guys are a steel colour with blue detail and im aiming for metallic like vehciles, but a dark emtallic so its different from my army, but suits my army. i started painting an atk white with fine blue detail, regret doing it, going to start over. one last thing, does anyone know how to get glue attached pieces off of another piece (i accidebtly glued something the wrong way..)

thanks, mrdarkmesa

First off, Welcome to Dakka.

If you used CA glue on two pieces of plastic the best your gonna be able to do is carefully cut them apart with a very sharp hobby knife.

As to the color scheme......I would personaly use the same metallic as the rest of your army and use a wash or ink to make it darker.

Post some pics and lets see what you got.

Metallic with very dark/very light blue highlights/features may look good.

Orange is a complementary colour to blue, so you could toy with that idea, though painting yellows and oranges isn't the easiest thing to do in the world.

And as an aside, I like your army. Looks pretty cool

MerkQT: Thanks! glad you like my army, i was originally going to go with orange and the colour, but wasn't sure. Ill go for the metallics as darefsky suggested and ill put a wash over it to darken it or something like that. Any suggestions for the wash and i think ill skip the highlights, too hard to do and plus I'm new to warhammer 40k and even model painting too.

thanks, mrdarkmesa
