This was a very speedy paint, face is a little messed up but didn't really have time to correct it. Should still look good from across the table I hope.

Not a fan of the sculpt (not your fault) and I see a huge mold line that you could have easily cleaned off but the paint job is not bad at all for speed painting!

I especially like your colour choice (which IMHO is most important in speed painting): it looks very natural and still has good contrast.

And here's the next dwarf. Not as much care into it as the last but still not too bad.

Thanks for the comments so far, the mould line annoyed me too but I was handed the models assembled and primed so it stayed.

Your painting is fine but damn are those LOTR minis ugly...

Ive been given a time limit hence why they're rushed, to stop me being a perfectionist, I found the last paint job just so lacking I did work on it more than I should...

Here's Gandalf, a bit less speedy this time.
I think the extra time on the face payed off even if I didn't attempt giving those tiny squinting eyes any eyeballs :p

I do love seeing LOTR/Hobbit figures.

That Gandalf looks really well done, plenty of depth to the robes which is great.

The trick to squinty eyes is to paint the flesh over them when they're done. :-)

Nice blood on Bomburs cleaver! Plus Balin just looks straight up mean. Those eyes.... *shudders*

I love seeing lotr minis I really like the older ones but the new ones aren't bad. This game needs more exposure by far.

The dwarves look good and I really like the cleaver how did you get it to have that watery blood look?

The gandalf is awesome too definitely my favorite.

Hmmm this makes me want to paint up some of my lots minis but 100+ unpainted minis to paint is a big task haha

@Chiefbigredman. The cleaver really didn't take very long, first it was boltgun metal, then the edge of the blade was Mitchell silver. Then tamiya clear red was applied, that looked too light especially over te mightily silver so I dabbed tamiya clear smoke over the blood, the patchy application more concentrated near the edge.

Gandalf looks fantastic. I'm starting to paint up some LotR models just because i like them. I think i have a gandalf lying around from years ago. i look forward to see the rest of your merry band of dwarfs!
