Hi all,

I've been coming to this site for months now, well, since early January of this year, when I got into painting. I've found some great tips and inspiration here, and I think it's time to show whether I've learned something

It all started when I got my copy of the Cadwallon: City of Thieves board game. Having painted the set, and getting some more Rackham minis, I think I've improved my skills, but they're far from the perfection I've seen here. Painting faces is still pretty much a nightmare for me (I think I've messed up Shanys' eyes somewhat), although it's become easier when I finally got a large magnifying glass a few days ago, which has helped me paint even some eye shadow on Desdemone

Also, this is my first mini diorama piece. The bulk of it is made from modeling plaster (three different pieces glued together with two-part epoxy), which was then covered in green stuff for the details. I added a few Lego bits (that my son kindly gave me) and clock parts, cardboard for the roof tiles, along with a few elements I bought from Thomarillion (which is a great terrain building shop, that I'm not affiliated with, mind you).

Hope you like it, and thanks for viewing (and commenting, if you will).

P.S. I'm limited to an Iphone 4 for my photographs...

Interesting composition between the Rackham Assasin and the Illyad Games Desdemone. I think they are out of scale with one another but it might be the angles. Overall good composition. Her skin needs a bit more depth to bring it to life.

Fantastic, out of scale doesn't come to mind, I like the size relationship, color schemes on all elements work very nicely.

probably just the "angle" of the shots that I'm seeing vs a straight on.

Thank you all for the comments, I appreciate them
Concerning the scale, it's most probably the angle and Shanys' posture, as their heads and body proportions are about the same. I agree about the skin, that and faces are what I'm still really struggling with... Clothes are much easier to paint, I think...
