While this model will very likely not see much table time outside of Apocalypse, I still wanted to explore the way that a Farseer would attempt to deal with the problem of wanting to remove a single target at extreme range. I can't really envision a Farseer actually picking up and using a rifle of any sort (far too random and clumsy) but using their powers to enable a fellow Eldar warrior to fire their own weapon with incredibly enhanced range and ability? That sounds more like the Eldar psykers I know.

So, the concept of a Farseer assisting a Ranger on a single base was born. Spending some more time thinking about it led me to want to add a bit of a twist to the idea which... well, you'll see in the pictures. (Most of them are linked to larger versions in the gallery.)

Commentary, feedback, questions all welcome as always.

That's a pretty damn nice idea you had there, looks great to.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

That is a really cool idea and execution of the portals.

That's a really well executed (geddit) dio mate. Probably not intentional but on the second pic there is a blur that I thought looks a bit like a sonic wave like you've managed to snap the shot just at the magic moment.

I really like the idea you have with that. Very clever. How did you do the portals?

The portals were done with Woodland Scenic's Water Effects. One of them, I laid some down onto a piece of plasticwrap, did the swirly bit, and let it dry. Then I peeled it off and did the back side of it. The one next to a tree I did on a small piece of harder plastic (since it had to support the bullet trail on its own) and repeated the process, leaving the plastic in place. Each portal then got a wash in blue/orange. Each end of the bullet trail is just a white-painted paper clip bit with some more water effects over the top of it.

Very nice diorama. I love the positioning of everything in the diorama, as well as the base - the water looks very nice. The figures have a very "cooperative" feel to them, if you get what I mean.
