Alright, so I've made a few summer purchases and I have about 50%-60% of my army unpainted. I have a color scheme going, but I have been thinking about scrapping my custom color scheme and go with the original crimson fists, and since I have a lot of painting to do anyway, its really now or never if I want to switch. Do you guys think I should switch, or continue what I have? Switching to crimson fists' color scheme would let my army be more identifiable and let me sell them easier if I want to get rid of a couple. Truth be told, I can't decide.

So here are a few pics of some models, what do you guys think?

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear but, its up to you man. Why do you want to switch to Crimson Fists? If it's only because of the color scheme I would stay with what you have. If it's because you like the lore and characters of the Crimson fist's then switch. But again it's all up to you.

I have no idea what I'm doing...

Well, my army is pretty much a crimson fist army in disguise anyway, and I do know most of the lore leading up to and including Rynn, and I like the idea of them holding the city for so long. Think I might give painting a unit of them a try.

I don't know man... what you got now is pretty awesome... but then again I've always thought the blue on the Crimson Fists was pretty cool.

I have always been a fan of massive contrasting colors. Go with the home brew scheme. It is your twist on the classic Crimson Fists paint job.

Your current scheme is brilliant. I vote for you to keep it.

And I love the Crimson Fists, I remember 1st ed 40k.

But your scheme is so good, it'd be a shame to lose it.

Keep the color you have, tip wise id find a better black. The flat black you are using looks greyish. Is it the cheap walmart paint?

No, I am ashamed to say its just a primer, I didn't have enough patience
I suppose I should add some paint over it

stick with your own army, I know i wished that i had done the same... now i have 4 different marine army colors that won't quite look right when everything's on the table. I've recently been a fan of the "one army to rule them all" concept, in that you have one large army that you can use multiple codexes to play. tired of playing blood angels? change your rulebook to dark angels. that's the easiest thing to switch... plus you don't have the "model envy" of another marine army gets a new toy that wouldn't be in your perscribed codex- get that sucker and paint it up how you like it!

Dark angels 70/100 of deathwing, 50/100 ravenwing, 80-100 3rd company
IG +6k pts
and a sampling of different armies
warmachine, 40-50 points of:
protectorate, legion, and convergence armies

I'd say keep it, whatever blue you used looks great. Also, if you already have stuff done less you have to strip and paint.
