Stronger shade for the muscle tone.

Giving a strong contrast colour to the Clothpiece.

Using different shades of blue, for highlights etc.

Gives the claws another colour.

Give the wings some structure (painting the bones differently, maybe even applying a pattern).

Just some ideas, no idea how well those would do. ^^

I'd make the gold more golden, and make the cloth a different colour. A more Tzeentch-like colour.

Maybe make the claws the same colour as the sword? That'd be really cool.

But that's just how I would do it. If you choose to keep the prince the way it is it's still awesome.

Try to make the dark blue recesses darker and the light blue highlights lighter. More contrast makes you fill larger areas without boring the viewer.

Nah, I like the one in the OP far more. Those muted colours make it look too monstrous/beasty, as opposed to the OPs which looks more Daemonic.
