Hello people, bit of a newbie to Dakka, been lurking for a while though, and decided to start a blog here, as if liked what I have seen of the community here. I'm a convertor mainly and have been pretty much since I started the hobby, but I do do a bit of painting, although nothing more than tabletop standard. Oh, and as it says in the title please don't expect regular updates. But, if you give me feedback and comments, it will motivate me to get more stuff done, and then I will post more!

This blog will mainly concern Deffskullz orks, my main army, but may occasionally have Tyranids or Salamanders popping up in places. Even more rarely, you may see some Dwarfs or other stuff.

News Box: ( I will edit this with my latest news, when I remember!
Currently packing for a move, with the date undefined at the moment, so I'm going to get quite restricted as to what I can work on

So, without further ado, here are some pictures of my work:

Killa Kan

Standard kit build here.

Dokta

Kitbash with
  • Trukk wheels

  • Old metal stormboy backpack

  • Kan saw

  • Nob body

  • Burna head

  • Greenstuff coat

  • Two stormboy arms with drill and tube syringe

  • And other stuff.

  • Dual-klaw Boss

Another kitbash based off an AOBR boss.

    Gatla + chainchoppa Boss

Kitbash based off a metal boss, with choppa, and meganob jaw.

    WIP Megaboss

'Kitbuild', which is what I like to call a build made entirely from bits of other models.

    Flatbed Trukk

Conversion mainly of the standard trukk kit

    WIP Trygon

    Standard build.

I am also the proud owner of the Goff Rok n Rolla

Added a bit of my gore recipe though.

I also happen to own the Dakkalith, created by the one and only Scarpia (http://www.garbo.org/40k/Konviktz/battlefortress.htm)

More pictures in my gallery, please vote on them too

Still need to drill the barrels on the stormbolters at some point.

    And, a Custom Stompa WiP.

The arms and smokestacks are magnetized, will photograph them soon. It also has an optional bellygun.

Still need to do something about the stock feet, any advice anyone?

These look to be really great but your photos aren't really doing them justice, it's hard to make out the detail

Thanks! I still need to work out the settings on my camera, and get a proper lighting setup made, thats the top priority for the new mancave when we move. EDIT: I don't think the ;ens on my camera helps either, I think its a landscape lens, so I need a macro lens I rekon, looking out for one I like Orkapokalpse Meow btw!

I'd say it was more the lighting, than anything else, but I know feth all about photography.
I really like the Chainchoppa boss. Was that a stikkbom arm?

Pretty sure its a reposed stock arm from one of the old metal bosses, I think there are two versions? One with chainchoppa and one with normal axe? Not sure

Yeah, http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1060131&_requestid=394024 looks like it was the orginal.

Ok, now the stompa has both arms attached, and as I said, they are magnetized for transport, as are the exhausts. The belly gun is also removable, but not magnetized, it just slots in.

Now to go scrub more of the old paintjob off...

As always C&C wanted, and if you want any more shots of anything, just ask.

Starting to feel like i'm talking to myself here

Had this idea for a nurgle/khorne chaos alliance bouncing around in my head for a while now, and have finally managed to start it.

So far, I have a nearly done nurgle vindicator

Need to seal a gap between the tank and the ,well, tank, and fix a few damaged tentacles, then its onto paint.

And I have an early paint in progress of my test mini for the khorne side of the army.

As you can see, I am going for a drastically different scheme to the cookie cutter red with brass trim. I'm planning a fairly standard golden brass trim, but the main colour will be, as you can see, a reddish bronze. The 'soft' armour parts will be plain red. Should contrast well with the white and green of the nurgle half. I will also put my Taymia Clear Red to very good use on these

    Any comments anyone?

Rather hurriedly later, a quite Blanchian Test Berserker is done!

I need to lighten the overall colour a bit, that will help the blood effect stand out a lot more. The trim was done with a much too large brush, that will be changed on the proper models. I also need to change the eye colour, perhaps a dark purple.

I can do a step by step tutorial if anyone wants it.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, all my khorne models, except perhaps champions and HQ's will be sans 'bunny ears'

Suggestions for improvement, my silent audience? I also need basing ideas, but they need to work on both Khorne and Nurgle models, which might be quite a challenge!
