Hey guys my green stuff modelling abilities suck and I am wanting to improve them, is there a reusable substance out there with all the characteristics of green stuff apart from the drying???
Looking for something that I can reuse.
Thanks in advance

Clay based putty maybe? Probably not hard enough, but at the very least it will teach you about working with a soft material.

I tried a sculpt with green stuff but after going to a FW open day and having a chat with one of the sculptors I got myself a pack of SuperSculpey which is a grey clay that stays mailable until you pop it in the oven. No good for converting miniatures unless you want to make something before sticking it to the mini but I does give you all the time you need to get your sculpt right or just practice your Technique.

below is my first attempt, very incomplete full sculpt. still uncooked so I can pick it up any time and add or change bits

You can add to, or carve Sculpy after its been baked, then bake it again.

Thanks is the super sculpy the firm stuff? And would I be able to mash it up again and reuse?
Also is there anything I can cost my tools / work surface with that stops green stuff sticking apart from water?

yes its firm and yes you can mash it up and do what you want with it, until its baked it stays mailable there's no air drying at all.
you can use a bit of Vaseline to stop GS sticking.

As long as you don't bake it you will be able to reuse it.
One thing that you should keep in mind though is that polymer clay can react and damage/melt plastic over longer contact. I noticed it with fimo and i'm not 100% sure if it is the same with super sculpey. But be carefull if your experimenting includes test-sculping onto plastic miniatures.

And vaseline can be a substitute for water. But i prefer to actually lick my tools as saliva isn't as hard to get off of GS as vaseline and also works better than pure water.

I suppose this also has nothing to do with the fact you work primarily on Slaanesh projects. But good tips actually I have been wanting to practice sculpting with something other than GS.
