My friend went to GW Stockholm and took this picture. I really like the effect on the blade, would someone please give me a link on how to achieve such effect?

I don't know of a tutorial but you could do it with an airbrush and some tape-mask.

Start white, or whatever your lightest color is, on the whole sword.

Tape half of the sword and airbrush some blues generally towards the midpoint of the sword, and more focused to the center the darker (burgundy/magenta) in a smaller area.

Then tape the opposite half and airbrush the opposing areas, again with the blue/aqua shades more general near the ends of the sword, and the darker reddish shades more focused on the tip/base.

You will likely have to edge the sword again with your lightest color/white...
