If I take the squads from Al'rahems' platoon and put them all in Vendettas, can they all outflank in their flyers now?

How do we know this? Should I be looking in the IG dex or the BRB? I can't find anything in the IG Dex or FAQ that says that, so I'm assuming you're getting this from the BRB (I just looked in its FAQ and didn't find anything either).

I'm assuming page 40 BRB, but doesn't specific "must" in IG dex trump general "may" in BRB?

I'm still not sold on the arguments against vendettas outflanking.
Please correct me with rules if im wrong but surely;
1. Al'rahem platoon must outflank.
2. Units in this platoon can be mounted in a vendetta (show me rules that say they cant).
3. because unit must outflank, then surely the unit outflanks with the vendetta.

The vendetta does not have the outflank rule, How is it outflanking?

This is what I'm leaning toward. The infantry "must" Outflank. Deploying inside the Vendetta means they cannot outflank. Thus, it is illegal for the infantry to be in Reserves embarked in the Vendetta, since they will not Outflank.

No one has said why this rule doesn't transfer to the vendetta.What about all the rules that are transferred to units that cant usually access them?
Why does the transfer of rules work for all of these other units but not for this? Unless there is a specific reference someone can point to regarding this, I don't see why a vendetta doesn't receive the outflanking rule because of the unit inside (Al'rehem).

Read the outflank rule, it mentioned DT only not transport. Then read Elrics post and now you understand.

Which is great, but is there a rule that allows the transport they are deployed upon to outflank? A Page and Graph will suffice... Ahh here is the issue. You seem to be misunderstanding how a permissive ruleset works. The rules don't say I can't place my models back on the board after you've killed them and use them next turn, but that doesn't mean I can do it. The rules system is permissive: this means you may only do things you are expressly allowed to do or that the rules imply you can do. You are not allowed to do anything else. So the "The rules do not say that I can't outflank with a vendetta" argument is invalid.
