Hello Dakka,

This is my attempt at the Bran Redmaw (well the Bran bit anyway).


This is my first time attempting any serious kinda sculpting, so I would welcome any c&c.

This is based on the Forgeworld model, in that it is wolfy, has a big nasty axe and a cloak.







I'm aware that the outside of the cloak of a little bit rough, but I'm waiting for it to set a bit more before going over with liquid green stuff and smoothing it over.

Any advise or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, especially as too how to deal with the Redmaw issue i can see on the near horizon...

you have to mold a GS moustache to connect to his beard, now it just looks like a hairy neck XD

I've never been a big fan of the tash, but I can see what you mean about the hairy neck. But I as i was going for the whole 'wolfman, crazed unshaved slobbering manic' look...

I'll have a look at sticking some more face fur on.

Right, I canne do it. I cannot make a mustache that I'm happy with.

Therefore I have simply tried to bulk out his sideburns to make the whole thing look slightly less 'neckbeardy' and more 'my beard comes from my face' beardy.

Sorry about the quality. I'm operating with a phone camera here. Unfortunate, but unlikely to change in the foreseeable future. If anyone has or knows of any techniques/software to improve camera phone functionality, please do tell.

You´re almost there but the beard "starts" next to his eyes thats a bit too high. Other then that just try to make a moustache, according to the rest you are clearly more than able to do a great one!

My sideburns start there, and while my beard sucks, my sideburns are epic. This was kinda done off my own face.... Do I need to shave?

Righteo then, back to the mustache then. I'll see you on the other side :p



It's the best one I've managed so far. Nice thing about these is that they are not integral, and just pop of when you look back 5 minutes later and say that you hate it....

Note, armour is just based here, not the finished product by a long way. And if anyone can offer some advise on how not to up the eyes, that'd be nice

Hey guys, phew its been a busy weekend. I've got all my stuff sorted for starting uni at the end of September, and have thus made a decision that i want all my marine plastic at a reasonable level before I go. This means many many things need doing, and I have been cracking on at them.

3 of 4 rhino/razor backs stripped and rebuilt better then before.
2 based
1 mostly painted (only need some finishing touches on exhausts and the pintle mount)

Build and base coat land raider crusader
Build and basecoat thunder wolves
build 45 fenrisian wolves (15 left)
Basecoat aegis line
strip long fangs to be rebuilt

become distracted, primary colours added to white dwarf special model, and scene sketched out for other dwarfy bits.

Find prefect base model for redmaw.
Begin conversion
Also use rest of box to build undefined horrors
start rebuilding terminators, including stripping njal and rebase logan.

Like i said, busy weekend. I dont have pics for any of this lot yet. I will take some in the daylight when there is hopefully a dash more colour around.
