So i was putting together my gk army but found the servo skulls they came with to look silly because of the size. So i chopped up the markers that came with the dice. Im torn i like how they look but do you think they look too big?

They're far too big! I know that there are a couple of kits that come with servo skulls.

That was some of my friends reaction, i explained that these particular servo skulls were made from ogryn skulls, you know to hold more data.

Those must be some big Muthafetha's skulls.

Though big they do have a presence that you can't forget. As they are markers to remind you and your opponent about the limits that the servo skulls impose I feel being a bit bigger makes it easier to remember them.

This. Servo-skulls provide important ablities & should not be overlooked if you are paying the pts to put them on the table. They look great & its obvious what they are, so I say run with them!

Yeah thats kinda what i what i was thinking, since they are really just markers it shouldnt make a huge difference. However i did catch a little flack at my flgs because they are not the "official model".

Are you kidding? what jerk called you on it?

I think you did well, but they are a bit too chucky to be the actual servo skulls. However, it only penalizes you, as they are easier to draw LOS to.

Yeah hes a gk player with some sort of god complex cause he has all the nice little fw bits for his army including the servo skulls. He didnt want me to use them because if theres models out there for it then i should be using them. And the ridiculous thing is that i wasnt even in a match with him he was just watching. Hes the self appointed leader of the 40k club and pretty much if your not his pal or praising him for his awesome paintjob , any models you bring are just rubbish.

I use the random servo-skulls that come in various sets. Mostly the GK Terminator ones.
