So I really like the idea of the grot tanks and hope GW adds them to the next codex. As I am not a bank I cannot bring myself to get the FW models. That being said in true orky fashion I decided to save my Teef and make my own grot tanks. With that ambition and a few bucks i headed to the FLGS to give it ago and started by buying a Zvezda 1/100 scale soviet KV-1 to act as my chassis. I had a few bits lying around from my battlewagon and set out to make my first grot armored vehicle!!!!! This is the work in progress. I apologize for the poor Pic quality
Cookie there is very little skill with this model! all I did was set the KV a little higher up on its tracks and then literally started gluing pieces on. lol
Automatically Appended Next Post: i need to stick a magnet somewhere on the turret that way i can stick a dreadnaught ccw on it when I have to count it as a killa kan when I have to!

There is some precedent for Forgeworld models making it to the main codices, but it doesn't happen often. Nothing stopping you from using the forgeworld rules for it though, unless your gaming group is still stuck in 2008.
It's actually a 1/100 Kv-1 hull from Zvezda!.. great alternative to battlefront IMO for Soviet tank Hordes. 3.75USD vs 12-15 bucks for just one from battlefront. and they are the same size at that!
