After my bitz box officially overflowed yesterday I have decided to do some good old kit bashing. I have always been a fan of it and have done a little in the past. However, with limited tools and equipment around, some parts proved a challenge. I have decided to make use of my poorly painted and unused space marines from assault on black reach box set. I planned to make the dreadnought a deff dread and the terminators mega-nobs. I have always loved deff dread in games (using the official model from Games Workshop) and wanted to make a second to stomp the enemy into the ground! Mega-nobs would be a great option for my mega armoured warboss and they can take a battlewagon dedicated transport as well, which will save a heavy support slot for the second deff dread! However, money is tight and I would not pay £15 a model, so bashing them was the way to go! (The models need to be sprayed as the old space marine colour scheme is still there. I found this very ironc as my main enemy are space marines and I loved cutting the heads off of the terminators and defiling the dreadnought! ( If the pictures do not work I am sorry - first time posting pictures you see! ). This whole kit bash has saved me almost £80 and I am very proud of them. Should have some big gunz posted soon!

1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!

looking really cool Really like the weapons and bulk added to the termies to ork em out. I too made my own meganobs, for money and style reasons. The GW meganobs are nice, but I always feel they are too uniform. Mega armour is supposedly something sorta scratch built and put together by the orks, they wouldnt have a standard design pattern. So imo custom built ones just look way better

If you have any other termies left you can also stick a grots head in place of the termies, looks really awesome as a grot meganob got a couple wip's at the moment.

Any plans or timescale for getting them painted?

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.

probably the only termies to orks conversion ive seen that still looks like an ork is in there. Legs arent perfect but they arent bad either. Usually when i see this it literally is a termie witha n ork head attached lol so ugly....

An ork with an idea tends to end with a bang.

Thanks! The feedback really helps! I ran out of bits and green stuff after the dreadnought so I couldn't bulk out the legs as I would have hoped to.
