So I have an event this weekend and I have a dilemma. For those that no me. I historically play for Best General only. I am not the best of painters, but man can I play the game pretty well. Anyways to my point. I have a few list. One is a build that gives me a real good chance of winning best general. The other is a good list but is more tiered to win best overall. The dilemma is which to shoot for...

Possible Best Overall Build:

HQ:
Destroyer Lord Sempiternal weave and MSS
Allies: Tzeentch Prince (CSM) Level 3; Wings; Gift of mutation 365pts

The above list is competitive. I won the indy open with it and have since gotten it painted up to a good tournament standard. The only issue is I won with them before Eldar and Tau hit. Both counter the wraiths and the prince pretty well so I could possible hit a hard counter.

I took this build to the indy invitational this last weekend. It did pretty well and I really liked how the army performed for me. This army has no shot in hell at best overall but, it can handle some of the top builds out currently.

I could also run a necron and ork list but it will not win best overall either and isnt exactely a top tier build. Though it can hold its own from what I have found out.

I would vote for eldar, but Avengers are a weak choice in this edition. They aren't as efficient as they were when they had the old bladestorm, and most other shuriken weapons now get it by default. I would use jetbikes or a static guardian gunline instead. IMO

Tau are solid overall, though I don't know if they improved kroot at all from the last edition. Kroot are still going to be right up there with DAs as your weakest links. Keep that in mind.

Others have performed well with Kroot, and they were pretty popular during ETC. Don't rule them out.

I ran the csm/necrons as it was the high vote. I will post a picture of it later and give a summary of the event.
