Gentlemen (and distinguished ladies,)I come searching for some advice on my list. I have a few things I'd like to tell you first before I go on with my list.

I have played very little. My experiences with my army have been quite few, and mainly against Dark Angels. Reasons being that in the town where I live, the dominating hobbies are RC vehicles.

My tactical knowledge with my army has been limited. I've managed to win the majority of the few games I have because my only opponent isn't very tactical with his force (to give an example, he DS his Deathwing Terminators, with the Chapter Master guy who doesn't make them scatter, right within range of my Baal Predator. His strike was too far to do any type of damage.)

And last, my list has grown since last I played. It went from 1000 to 1865 in total.

Enough talk! Here's the list:

HQ: Librarian in Terminator Armor
-Shield of Sanguinius
-Blood Lance
125 pts.

ELITES: 5 Terminators with TH/SS
(These are joined by Libby)
225 pts.

Furioso Dreadnaught
-Frag Cannon
-Blood Fist with Flamer
-Drop Pod with Storm Bolter
170 pts.

TROOPS:
10x ASM Squad
-Sgt. has Power Fist, Plasma Pistol
10x ASM Squad
(Same as above)
460 pts total.
10x Tactical Marines
-Heavy Weapon: Missile Launcher
-Special Weapon: Meltagun
-Sgt. with Plasma Pistol and Chainsword
-Dedicated Transport: Rhino
240 pts.

FAST ATTACK:
Baal Predator
-Twin-linked Assault Cannon
-Sponson Heavy Flamers
140 pts.

HEAVY SUPPORT:
5x Devistators
-2x Lascannons
-2x Plasmacannons
-Sgt. with Bolter and Chainsword
5x Devistators
-2x Plasmacannons
-2x Lascannons
-Sgt. with Bolter and Chainsword
340 pts.

TOTAL= 1700 PTS.

Since I've had very few games, Idk what works and what doesn't. I tried making a list that might be able to handle most threats. If there's any changes I could make, PLEASE let me know. I could really use the help.
*one more thing, do HQs have to start the game on the table and not reserve? (In reference to my Librarian and Termies.)

Some of the point values are wrong

5 Hammernators it's only 225.

Fragnought in pod is only 170

As for the rest of the list, I would say moar troops! 1 or 2 SP are a must, especially for the ASM.

A LRC would go a long way for the Terminators, too.

it fails me also.
as for the Devsquads don't split the weapons thats the onlything i can see that wrong with this list.

I would save points on plasma pistols. If you get rid of the 2 assault squad plasma pistols you could equip one squad with 2 flamers and 1 squad with 2 melta guns. 2 flamers and 2 melta guns for the price of 2 plasma pistols. I would personally change the tac squads sergeant to power axe instead of plasma pistol but that depends on how you play them.
Also that baal costs 5pts extra.
I like the list. Should work well when not facing flyers. Do you combat squad the tacticals? If so i would invest in a razorback. DS the termis?
If you do combat squad the tacticals, the plasma pistol will cover the 5pts missing on the baal, pay for an upgrade to a razor and 5pts to spare for meltabombs on the sergeant.

Take gear off the sarges. They are too fragile.

Flamer sponsons are bad. Get H bolters and a storm bolter for the Baal.

BA devastators are pretty much a train wreck for point efficiency.

Never foot slog assault terminators. I'd get a LR.

The terminators are deep striking. And this list is on a budget, so I can't afford anything more at the moment.

Don't split weapons on the devastators. keep a squad with lascannons and a squad with plas. no mixing. if you fire at av 14 you are basically forced to waste 2 pcannon shots.

Asault terminators are actualy better footslogging. why? because unsupported (and you must build an allies list based around them), landraiders are a garbage pointwaste. its better to get 10 hammer termies than 5 hammer termies in a landraider. the 2+/3++ ensures they will survive the slog better than mechanized counterparts.

I meant deapstriking. a run move can do good things if you think well about positioning them

Edit: might as well yell "free kill point" if you footslog across the board.

Deep striking is turn 3 assault at the earliest. Fail. Many games are decided by then. This is why decent of angels has never been any good, even in 5th.

Landraiders in a dedicated list are not much faster (but they live through the game). and if the OP is only relying on termies to carry he day then, good luck to 'im.

Well, if say, the Space Wolves drop you, you can assault them turn ONE. That's a bit of a difference, wouldn't you say? Plus, the LR almost always gets into position by turn 2 if you move flat out.

Few things. As mentioned dont split the devs up as your wasting two weapons a turn so dedicated plasma and las squads serve you better.

Also no special weapons on the assault marines? 2x melta or flamers increase their out put alot.

Termies are a great distraction unit but theres so much out there now packing plasma etc youll be spammed to death on 3+saves on the turn you arrive
