Hey everyone its been a long 3 months since I first started my first project since a 10 year hiatus. I knew I wanted to do space wolves but I wanted to experiment with a DIY paint scheme as I was concerned that I would constantly compare my army to space wolves armies painted in grey power armor. Basically what I have here is a small 1500 point skirmish army comprising of a heavy fast attack setup as I wanted lots of wolves. I'm still waiting on a centurion suit to convert into a Wolf Lord in TDA, but it hasn't arrived yet. I have started collecting several units for my new army in which I will start in a few weeks, this will be the Iron Warriors. Be a similar size army so my mates and I can battle against each other in my game room. Below is the army list and I hope you enjoy. All feedback welcome. Apologies for the poor photography.
1 x Wolf Lord (soon to be demoted)
5 x Blood Claws
5 x Wolf Guard
10 x Grey Hunters
1 x Rhino
10 x Fenrisian Wolves
3 x Thunderwolf Cavalry
1 x Cyber Wolf

A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next. There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor. - Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio |

I like the different Paind Scheme, and OSL on your Power and Plasma Weapons. Where did you get your wolves, are they GW?
Great Job, keep it up!

Thankyou very much, yeah there GW wolves. Just two packs and a cyber wolf. The cyber wolf is the most horrible quality model I have ever seen, was bitterly disappointed. I just chose to paint the wolves black with glowing yellow eyes, so they might be a bit unrecognisable

I really like the colourscheme. Good cold/warm contrast.
And also kudos on the intensive attention to details. They are all picked out in nice contrasting colours

thankyou very much for such a great comment. Had a match today with them at my local GW and after being introduced back to the world of 40k I'm putting this army to rest and going to stick to the fluff with a Iron Warrior army and next year hopefully when space wolves is revisited I will make a legit fluff army. Thanks for your comment
