Hi guys

Well after a two year break and with the releas of the new marines I decided to start playing again. I brought the codex and decided that I don't like imperial fists anymore so I sold them on and started fresh with ultramarines because I've always liked there back ground

Now I didn't want them to be the super bright "smurfs" that everyone calls them so I did them a much darker blue with some battle damage and blood effects because I wanted then to appear that they are in a battle

So let me know what you think guys

Is that tamiya red? If so, remember: Less is better on loin clothes and blades.

Nice work, I agree that darker ultras are far cooler-looking. I love the pose on the knife guy as well.

I am currently painting 2 tac squads and converting a tigarius and a captain with burning blade at the same time lol

Just struggling to get the battle damage right because the blue is so dark I have to use black to sponge paint with and you can really see it :/ and if I use silver it looks s#%^

Any advice ??

I've got 2 tactical squads and 5 more sternguard,thunder fire, 2 drop pods, 2 vindicators and tigarus to do so alot on my plate lol
