Well I've just moved into our first house with my fiance and for the first time ever have my own dedicated painting set up. Thought I would share it with you lovely folks on here. Would be good if other folk posted up theirs as well!

OP: you sir are a lucky man. I have my paint set-up in the office and have only lunch hours to paint, when deadlines aren't screaming at me. I don't quite have the space at home, and there's a MC to worry about (my one year old!)...

I live in a one bedroom apartment, but the dining room is my painting area, my girlfriend sits next to my painting desk when she's studying so its a pretty nice deal for me.

And my bits boxes/basing materials!

That's a pretty cool set up! Liking the movable magnifying glass. Where can I get me one of those!?

I got my lamp on clearance at a local craft store. I'm not sure where you can find one across the pond. However, I don't use it as often as I thought I would. Also the top part is melted because I left it too close to the halogen lights mounted underneath the top shelf of the desk

Facepalm indeed! I take it you use it for detail on heads and faces etc?

Mainly, sometimes I use it for my Iron Warriors when I'm painting the gold on their armor. I realized after I purchased that magnifying light that I was wearing my contacts when I painted, when I am wearing my glasses and take them off I can see more clearly than the magnifying glass

It's so... so clean. That'll never last!

Haven't had call to snap a pic recently, but this is my area as it was when we had just moved into the current place:

As it stands now, you'd have to fully double the amount of crap on the table and at least triple the amount of crap that doesn't fit in the frame (I've got shelves upon shelves and boxes upon boxes - literally and figuratively, in both cases - of tools, materials, and bits, although not all are specific to miniatures). Have some pegboard I haven't yet gotten around to mounting on the wall behind the table to help cut down on the clutter, somewhat. My 8"x12" cutting mat is actually the only clear workspace on the entire 2'x6' table...

If you're interested in seeing more setups, there have been a few threads like this, before. This and this are the two that I could find with the amount of effort appropriate to the time of night.

[edit:]Botched the tags on the last link. Told you it was getting late...
