Honestly I would say lose the middle horn. It doesn't match with the others very well, something like a third eyeball might work better.

I've just always enjoyed the way nurgle just really seems like a great guy i mean nurgles rot is just a mark of claim once he has infected you your in his heart and nurgle loves you brother, and like a rich grandfather he is generous with the gifts. His nature is warm and he knows a few good jokes and he teaches you to be at peace with life death and the here after, except your fate and feel no pain let go of this material world. So i really felt to make a greater daemon of nurgle out of a Buddha of contentment fit rather well.

It's a cool idea but personally while the horns and paint scheme say Nurgle it doesn't look putrescent enough to be a GD. It looks like a statue that some nation defiled as an idol of Papa Nurgle and didn't quiet finish.

As has been said I'd add another chin and if you can change the mouth to look more monstrous but keep the smile or maybe have a tongue coming out of the mouth. You could take the liquid from the skaven plague claw catapult and add it to the bowl. Then I'd add Nurglings crawling all over him, he also needs boils. Like I said cool idea but it just doesn't look like a Nurgle GD to me just a dirty statue.

I don't really like it it just not very well finished. Plus seems kinda insulting to people...... seems like alot of effort for very little reward.

I think the outright demon worship and promotion of mass murder in the 40k universe is more "offensive" than an artistic riff off a statue of a fat man.

Pretty interesting project, I feel like the conversion itself would have benefited from more detailing...but the finish on that paintjob looks nice. I'm betting liberal application of Nurgle's Rot?

Nope just good ole fashioned shading and washes but i do agree that itvis a very similar shade

I agree with some of the other commenters that it could have used a bit more conversion work, before painting.

If I get around to working on a Nurgle army I'm stealing your idea to convert a cheap Buddha statue and save $50 on a greater demon

There is more work to be done once i get a drummel with a tiny angle grinder but i wanted to play him till i get it.

The Buddha was about 15 bucks i got the thundertusk box made a skull cannon and a herald of nurgle out of it as well spent 50 to 60 all together but got some good conversions out of it and plenty of spare bits

I agree, that given more time id say really go for the conversion on him. At present, it works, but its like the tip of the iceberg. theres so much scope to make it unbelievable

What ya planning with ya dremmel? I got a dremmel last Xmas, trust me, you wont be putting that tool away anytime soon With a fair amount of GS, i'd love to see a whole lot of rotting flesh, perhaps not so many pustules, or 'spots'/sores - which is obviously a common nurgle theme, but more like his sagging unclean flesh, hanging and falling from his body.

Well i need to drill out the bowl so i can fill it with grossness the mouth will be getting a widening and prolly a few skull teeth like
Lines on the lips his back needs some sort of exposed spine since all the other nurgle greater daemons have them i do want to leave the neck alone fir now id have to see the mouth first i don't want to pull to far from his almost human like look his is really saposta be a brain cancer type deal. i don't want to pop the tummy my fluff is that he would be one of the 7 plague lords and hasn't popped yet but when he finally does a great work would be released some sort of mental plague. Id like to do a lot of nurglings and would like to give his rolls a little bit of sag and a few boils and pustules and really want to fashion him a scythe of some sort and I've been playing with the idea of a burning relic behind him
