Subject: ALL the Shiny New Toys in One List - Sisters + Inquisition 2000

I keep trying to get new toys into my list and finally managed to get nearly everything I've wanted into one list:
HQ 233 pts
Warlord (Ordo Xenos) Inquisitress, Divination, Combi-flamer, Force Sword, Rad/Psychotroke/Psyk-out Grenades, 1x Servo-skull
Celestine [Fearless, Hit-and-Run]
Troops 962 pts
5 Sisters, 2 Flamers, Immolator (TLMM)
5 Sisters, 2 Flamers, Immolator (TLMM)
5 Sisters, 2 Flamers, Immolator (TLMM)
5 Sisters, 2 Flamers, Immolator (TLMM)
5 Sisters, 2 Flamers, Immolator (TLMM)
18 Sisters (Blob), Priestess (Bolter), Heavy Flamer, Immolator (TLMM)
Fast Attack 330 pts
5 Dominions (Scouts), 4 Meltaguns, Immolator (TLMM)
5 Dominions (Scouts), 4 Meltaguns, Immolator (TLMM)
Heavy 375 pts
Exorcist
Exorcist
Exorcist
Fortification 100 pts
ADL with Quad Gun
So this list is ready to go. It gives me 8 Immolators w/ TL MM (I will always be a fan of Immo spam lists), 3 Exorcists, a blob with Priestess (War Hymns) / Celestine (Hit-n-Run and Fearless) / Inquisitor (Prescience, Psycho-Rad Grenades and a ServoSkull). I took an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor as Warlord as I like their Warlord Traits over the other Ordo's traits, and it gave me access to the lulz grenades. The Dominions can scout or outflank, and I have plenty of flamers and meltaguns in all the units, as well as air defense with the Quad Gun.
I think my bases are covered, the question for me is whether or not the blob will be an effective unit. Also, what is lacking to make this a TAC list?

I think that this list looks really, really solid. It's one that I'd be slightly intimidated to play against myself. So, I hope you don't mind if I steal it from you at some point...I mean you have some decent scout deterrents (which I have found that scouts can be pretty devastating to our army since it forces us to fight sooner/put us in a less advantageous position to use our short range weapons), decent AA against all but spam happy lists, and b/c of crazy grenades the blob is even better at tarpitting than before. The only concern I might have is only having a single priest, but that can probably be worked around with the help of Celestine.
Also, question, how has your experience been with priestless 5 girl BSS? Has failing leadership been a problem with them? Just wondering because I'm considering dropping priests to save points else where.

I hear TL exorcists are great. honestly the servo skull is pointless unless you reallllly have no points to spend .
Looks like a fun list to be sure though.

I would rather have rhinos over Immos for BSS. You don't want those fragile troops hopping out to shoot. OTher than that it is pretty nice. Automatically Appended Next Post: Servo skulls are great btw. Stopping khorne hounds from a turn 1 attack is pretty useful. Keeping infiltrators away from the relic is useful.

Wait how is a T1 attack even possible? i though scout prohibited first turn charge. or was it game turn?

Player turn. So they can assault you if they go second. Also, keeping them from vital areas is pretty nice.

Feel free to use this list and hopefully have some great games with it.
I tinkered with Priests in my BSS, but found they were taking up alot of points, and worse yet, since the units are so small, they usually got wiped out with concentrated fire anyway. In my opinion Priests are better used in larger units. Automatically Appended Next Post: Desubot wrote:Would you be able to make space for a second diviquisitor?

I tried getting a 2nd Inquisitor in the list but it was taking away too many other items I wanted in the list. I think in this list one Inquisitor hits a good balance. Using Rhinos instead of Immolators is something I've considered, but I just like Immolator lists too much too break away from it. It is the core of my list, and I HATED getting rid of my 3rd Dominion squad to make points for other things. I really REALLY wanted to field 9 Immolators in this list

Good point, I think I'll have to consider dropping them then. Saves me 50 points!
I think with the whole Rhino vs, Immo debate, it'll depend on what you want the girls inside to do. I wouldn't be surprised if we see two routes form for loading up the BSS. Small 5 man units in Rhinos as Pretre suggests that these girls may end up being used more conservatively while still allowing for late game objective clearing. In the Immo, I can see them being used much more aggressively during the mid game/late game as both not only objective clearers, but also offensive tools. One list will save you a few more points for other toys, while the other will require that the girls inside pull more weight than they might otherwise be necessary. I think it depends on what you have in mind for them.

For the 20 points twin-linked multi-meltas that can shoot at 24" + 6" is a bargain. Sure, Rhinos allow you to shoot two weapons from the fire points, but if you use meltas, then you're paying the same 20 points for 12" non-twin-linked shots; if you use flamers, then you have to get so close to your opponent that more than likely your Rhino will get assaulted, possibly causing you to lose the Rhino (and maybe even your unit if it can't emergency disembark). The 20 points per vehicle savings can be substantial (in my list that would be an extra 160 points), but those points buy me 8 twin-linked MMs on mobile transport platforms, I can't think of a better buy for my points than that

I can't entirely disagree, TL-MM is amazing, especially when it's spammable, and the range really helps, but, it does allow your girls to have a bunker as opposed to being exposed when objective clearing. The number of vehicles our lists typically have will ensure that, hopefully, at least some will still have their rides and be able to do so. Plus, speaking of assault, if you're getting assaulted, you do have the bonus of overwatch with said flamers. Although I admit, I personally still sway towards Immolators..

The logical set up for Immolators now is the TLMM with flamer girls inside the vehicles. In 3rd, it was fast Immolators with TL Heavy Flamers carrying two melta girls. I like the current setup even better, as the vehicles don't HAVE to get close to do damage and can against some armies force them to come to you, that's when the flamers inside can pop out and do some baking of their own. It would have been sweet if they had given the Immolators the fire point we used to have, oh well
One other thing about the current Immolator setup is that it allows us to control the midfield much better than in the past, and usually whoever controls the midfield controls the game.
