Didn't know about tis stuff, until I found it today. I need some advice from painters who have actually experience with magnetic paint. is it worth it?

I guess my question would be, how do you plan on using it?

Yeah, if you want to coat a smooth surface, and use it to stick small light refrigerator magnets on, it works well.
(great projects for kids!).

If you want to use it to paint cases or surfaces and hope minis or models with magnets on the bases will stick to it - not enough ferrous materials in it to work.
(and no, use more coats does not work well either).

Now, as a guy who magnetizes tons of stuff.....did you have a project in mind?

I'm with Dave. If you can share with us the project or intended use, there may be an alternative way.

An aside, if you are looking to magnetize a display board or something like that, you can go out and buy yourself a magnetic dry erase board.

Every model there is magnetized to stick to the board.
